GRIME WALTHAM FOREST 2019
Waltham Forest was London’s first ever Borough of Culture for 2019, headed up by Beatroots Creative. MVP Workshops were commissioned to recruit, train and work with a group of fifteen 16–25 year olds from Waltham Forest to produce ‘Grime Waltham Forest - The Documentary’, based on the history of Grime in the borough.
As part of the process, in November 2018, we curated a workshop supporting young people interested in Events Management and then joined host Hyper Frank for the ‘Where are the Women in Grime?' panel discussion. Early into 2019 the film was ready and premiered at the Empire Cinema to a packed out auditorium. Check out the full film below:
