P.O.W PRODUCTION PROGRAMME 🔥

They told us to get back in the kitchen, so we’re cooking again!! This Autumn, GIRLSofGRIME proudly presents our Power.Of.Women Production Programme. We’re offering aspiring female creators a sizzling opportunity to spice up their production skills, sprinkle confidence into their lives, and stir up powerful industry connections through an immersive shared experience. Think of it as a culinary journey for your musical ambitions!

This 12-week programme is the follow-up act to our successful Spring pilot project at THE HALLEY with Orbit Presents, under the expert guidance of the award-winning songwriter and producer, Eve Horne. We've already covered the basics, and now we're ready to take it to the next level. Why, you ask? Because we’re on a mission to tackle a troubling statistic – only 3% of music producers in the Top 100 UK radio airplay chart are women, and a mere 15% are credited as songwriters. Our recipe for change involves a series of tantalizing workshops led by industry professionals and a multi-genre songwriting camp.

But here's the icing on the cake, this initiative extends our commitment to #EmbraceEquity, echoing the essence of our official International Women's Day release, 'CROP TOPS & HOODIES.' Grounded in the grassroots, community-driven, and DIY ethos of our Grime origins, we'll assist women from disadvantaged backgrounds in realising their music production goals. This project will explore various underground and commercial genres based on participants' preferences, all with the overarching goal of nurturing and empowering these talented women as they embark on the next chapter of their music careers.
